UNILAG Begins Second Batch Screening and Registration for 2023/2024 Academic Session
The University of Lagos has officially opened its portal for the 2nd batch screening and registration process for newly admitted students for the 2023/2024 academic session. Prospective students have been advised to initiate their registration and screening procedures, with the process set to conclude on Friday, December 1, 2023, as per the institution's schedule.
According to information available on the University's website, the screening and registration exercise is applicable to all newly admitted UTME and DIRECT ENTRY candidates for the 2nd Batch. The registration is scheduled to take place from Monday, November 6 to Friday, December 1, 2023, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
To initiate the process, students are instructed to use their UTME Number as the Username and their Surname in lowercase as the Password to log in to the UNILAG Student Portal at www.unilag.edu.ng. From there, they should navigate to the ADMISSIONS section, select Admissions and 2023/2024 SCREENING, fill out the required bio-data form, and print the Screening Form.

During this initial stage, students are expected to upload several original documents, including their Birth Certificate, a Letter of Reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant addressed to The Registrar of the University of Lagos, Testimonials from the secondary school attended, State of Origin Certificate, JAMB Admission Letter, O'Level Result, and Previous Degree Certificate (for DIRECT Entry candidates only).

Stage 2: Screening
A. Students should proceed to the registration venue as scheduled (the Registration Schedule can be found on the University's website).
B. Two copies of specific documents must be submitted to the registration officer, including the Screening Form generated from the first stage (colored and photocopied), UNILAG Online Application Form (for Direct Entry candidates only: colored and photocopy), JAMB acknowledgment slip (for Direct Entry candidates only: colored and photocopy), JAMB Admission Letter (Institution Copy: colored and photocopy), UTME Result Slip (colored and photocopy, not applicable to Direct Entry candidates), Post-UTME Result Slip (colored and photocopy, not applicable to 2022 JAMB candidates), JUPEB/A-LEVEL/OND/HND/BSc. Result Slip (for Direct Entry candidates only), and O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO), with the online version accepted only for the 2023 WAEC/NECO Results holders.
Stage 3: Payment of Fees
A. Students should generate a Payment Advice 24 hours after completing Stage 2.
B. Proceed to any bank to make the necessary payment.
Stage 4: Faculty/Departmental Registration
After completing the payment, students are required to proceed to their respective Faculty and Department for further registration processes.

An important notice to all students is that impersonation is a serious offense, and anyone found guilty of this will automatically forfeit their admission and may be handed over to the police. Additionally, the University has a zero-tolerance policy for drug use, and a compulsory drug test will be conducted for all newly admitted students. Those who test positive for drug use or fail to undergo the test will have their admission withdrawn.
The dates for the Matriculation ceremony and Orientation program will be announced by the University at a later time.
