The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced an invitation for experienced and competent contractors to submit bids for two major construction projects funded by the 2024 Capital Appropriation. The projects include the construction of an Administrative Building Annex for the Bursary Department and a Block of Hostel, which is partly funded by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Merit Award Grants.

Scope of Work:

LOT 1: Construction of Administrative Building Annex (Bursary Department)

LOT 2: Construction of a Block of Hostel

Eligibility Requirements: Prospective bidders must meet several requirements, including but not limited to:

Evidence of incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and relevant tax clearance certificates.

Valid Pension Clearance, Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance, and Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Clearance Certificates.

Sworn affidavit confirming the absence of conflicts of interest, insolvency, and financial impropriety.

Company’s audited accounts for the past three years and verifiable evidence of similar projects completed in the last five years.

Submission Details: Interested contractors are required to submit their pre-qualification documents in sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the name of the project and the Lot number. These documents should be addressed to the Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin, and delivered to the office of the Head of Procurement by 12:00 noon on Monday, 16th September 2024.

Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents: The University will open the pre-qualification documents immediately after the submission deadline on the same day. Bidders or their representatives are encouraged to attend, with the process being monitored by relevant stakeholders and covered by video recording. An invitation link will be provided for those who wish to join the bid opening online.

The University has emphasized that it reserves the right to reject any bid and annul the procurement process at any time without incurring liabilities, in line with the Public Procurement Act, 2007.
