The Student Union Government (SUG) of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has issued a statement addressing the recent incident in one of the university's hostels, which resulted in damage and displacement due to a sandstorm.

SUG President Elect, CMR Hafix Muhammad Bello, expressed heartfelt sympathies to those affected and reaffirmed the union's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
