The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has announced the commencement of hostel booking and payment for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has announced the commencement of hostel booking and payment for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to an internal memorandum issued on 29th October, 2025, by the Sub-Dean, Office of Students’ Affairs, Surv. Dr. Chukwubueze Onwuzuligbo, the process of securing accommodation in the school hostels is currently ongoing. Students are required to follow the approved online procedure to obtain their spaces.

The memo outlines the following steps for booking:
- Complete registration and obtain the University Registration Number.
- Log on to hostels.unizik.edu.ng and register with the University Registration Number.
- Select the hostel, floor, room, and bed space of choice.
- Proceed to make payment online via transfer or card to the designated account.
- Generate an invoice and visit the Students’ Affairs Office for authentication before proceeding to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Hostel to register and collect the mattress and bedcover.
Dr. Onwuzuligbo further cautioned that reselling hostel spaces is unlawful and would lead to forfeiture of the allocated space. He also warned that squatting or being squatted in the hostel remains prohibited, urging students to exercise due diligence to avoid embarrassment.
