The Faculty of Medicine at Nnamdi Azikiwe University has extended warm congratulations to Professor Joseph Ikechebelu on his assumption as Acting Vice-Chancellor. Led by Dean Professor Gladys Ahaneku, mni, faculty members visited the Acting Vice-Chancellor to convey their felicitations and pledge their unwavering support.

During the visit, Professor Ahaneku commended Professor Ikechebelu's wealth of experience and leadership qualities, citing his deep commitment to the institution. "These are your people. We are here to say congratulations and to express our full support. Our prayers are with you. We know your track record, capacity, drive, and goodwill. You have achieved great success, and we wish you continued excellence. We are committed to partnering with you," she affirmed.

In response, Professor Ikechebelu expressed profound gratitude for the faculty's solidarity, acknowledging the significance of their support in his new role. "When your own demonstrate this level of support, it is truly overwhelming. It hasn’t been easy since 1997. This is the only place where I have worked in government service. I breathe UNIZIK. Protecting and elevating UNIZIK to an excellent level is my primary desire. It is heartwarming that our accreditation has been restored," he remarked.
