Yobe State University Announces Reduction in Tricycle Transport Fares for Students

The Student Union Government (SUG) of Yobe State University has successfully negotiated a reduction in tricycle transport fares for students traveling to the university from various locations within Damaturu.

Following a convention between the SUG's Transport and Logistic Committee and the Tricycle Riders Association, the new fare has been set at N150, effective immediately. This reduction aims to alleviate the financial burden on students and ensure affordable and reliable transportation options.

Additionally, tricycle rides within the university premises will now cost between N50 to N100, depending on the distance traveled, with prices negotiable between passengers and riders.

To further enhance conveyance services, the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences (SMS) premises will serve as the designated bus stop for students from the Faculties of Social and Management Sciences, Law, and Education.
