Abdulkadir Kure University Reaffirms Commitment to Skills Development as GIZ Holds ICSS Orientation

Abdulkadir Kure University (AKU), Minna, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening career skills and employability among students and partner institutions.

This was stated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Aliyu Paiko, during the GIZ-organized Integrated Career Skills System (ICSS) Orientation Programme held on November 24, 2025, at the university campus.

The ICSS programme aims to equip Nigerian youths with practical skills for global competitiveness, and AKU is proud to host this strategic capacity-building event. The collaboration between GIZ and partner institutions will strengthen capacity and promote a unified approach to career development training across tertiary institutions in the state.

The one-day orientation programme featured sessions on ICSS Design and Implementation, ICSS Learn, and insights from the FutMinna ICSS Simulation. Participants were urged to fully embrace the ICSS model for the benefit of students and the educational system .
