Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has announced an internal and external advertisement for the position of Registrar, following the impending completion of the tenure of the current officeholder. The university is seeking a highly qualified individual with integrity and demonstrable leadership qualities to fill the role and contribute to the institution’s continued growth and excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

The Registrar serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the institution. The role reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and also fun

ctions as the Secretary to the Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.

To be eligible for the position, candidates must possess at least a university degree and have a minimum of 15 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 10 years within a university administrative setting. Additionally, proficiency in information and communication technology (ICT) and its application in university administration is a key requirement. The candidate must also be of excellent physical and mental health to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the office.

The position is a single-term appointment for a non-renewable period of five years, with terms and conditions of service specified in a contract under the university’s seal.

Salary and Conditions of Service

The salary, allowances, and other benefits for the Registrar position are determined by the Governing Council of Achievers University. The remuneration package is competitive and aligns with those offered in both public and private universities across Nigeria. The successful candidate will also be enrolled in the university’s contributory pension scheme.
