ATBU SUG President Urged to Address Campus Security Concerns

A former student leader has written to the Student Union Government (SUG) President, expressing deep concern over the escalating theft and criminal activities on campus.

The letter, signed by Babatunde Habeeb Olayinka, former President of the Student Technical Engineers Students Association (STESA), highlights the recent incidents of theft around Gubi bridge and female hostel areas.

Olayinka urged the SUG President to take immediate action to address the issue, including:

- Repairing all streetlights and providing alternative lighting solutions

- Ensuring female students return to their hostels by 8 pm and are accompanied by male students during late-night movements

The letter emphasized the need for collective action to combat the problem and ensure campus security. Olayinka warned that if the issue is not adequately addressed, he would escalate the matter to higher authorities for intervention.
