Bayero University Kano Launches Adult and Second-Chance Literacy Centres; Registration Now Open

The Department of Continuing Education, Bayero University Kano (BUK), has announced the opening of Adult and Second-Chance Education Literacy Centres aimed at providing learning opportunities for individuals seeking basic education, skill acquisition, and lifelong learning.

According to the department, the programme covers Basic Literacy, Post-Literacy, Continuing Education, and Vocational Education, and is designed to accommodate learners of all ages, reinforcing the belief that education has no age limit.

The literacy centres are currently available at the following locations:

The department also disclosed that more centres will be opened soon to expand access across Kano and its environs.

Registration and classes will hold from Monday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday, with class sessions scheduled for 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, making the programme flexible for working adults and other participants.
