BUK Launches Adult and Second-Chance Education Literacy Centres to Promote Lifelong Learning

The Department of Continuing Education, Bayero University Kano (BUK), has inaugurated Adult and Second-Chance Education Literacy Centres, providing accessible learning opportunities for individuals seeking basic education, vocational skills, and lifelong learning.

The Department of Continuing Education, Bayero University Kano (BUK), has inaugurated Adult and Second-Chance Education Literacy Centres, providing accessible learning opportunities for individuals seeking basic education, vocational skills, and lifelong learning.

The programme offers instruction in Basic Literacy, Post-Literacy, Continuing Education, and Vocational Education, accommodating learners of all ages and reinforcing the principle that education has no age limit.

  • Rimin Zakara
  • Rimin Gata
  • BUK New Site (Department of Continuing Education)

Additional centres are planned to expand access across Kano and neighboring areas. Classes are scheduled Monday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday, with flexible sessions from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, designed to suit working adults and other participants.
