Highlighting effective communication as paramount among these skills, Obaseki stressed the importance of clear idea conveyance, active listening, body language proficiency, and empathy for understanding diverse perspectives. She also underscored teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, and conflict management as essential competencies for workplace efficiency and personal growth.
The seminar included an interactive case study where students applied these skills to real-life scenarios, fostering practical learning. Obaseki encouraged students to continually develop these skills through reading, engaging with diverse individuals, and pursuing online courses.
During the interactive session, Obaseki shared her professional journey, emphasizing adaptability and the continuous pursuit of relevant skills. She urged students to leverage their academic experiences and remain open-minded in their career pursuits.
