Dr. Fadele to Head ICT, Dr. Khalil, Directorate of Advancement, as Federal University of Education, Zaria VC Makes Fresh Appointments

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has approved several key appointments across the University, with Dr. Ayotunde Alaba Fadele of the Department of Computer Science appointed Acting Director, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Unit.

In the same vein, Dr. Khalil Yusuf Uthman of the Department of Social Studies has been appointed Director, Directorate of Advancement, with Mal. Anas Ibrahim of the Department of Computer Science serving as Head, Development Advancement in the Directorate.

Similarly, Dr. Sirajo Ado has been appointed Head of Department, Mathematics, and Abubakar Jibril Ibrahim of the Department of Early Childhood Care and Education as Coordinator, Computer-Based Test (CBT) Unit.

Prof. Bunkure also approved the appointment of Dr. Ahmed Faisal Imam of the Department of Educational Administration and Planning as Director, Zaria Consultancy Limited, while Mal. Yusuf Yahaya Maina of the Department of Educational Psychology takes the role of the Deputy Director of the company.

Additionally, Dr. Omwirhiren Efe Mouson of the Department of Chemistry has been appointed Communication and Documentation Officer at the TETFund Centre of Excellence for Technology Enhanced Learning (TeCETEL).

All the appointments take effect from 3rd October, 2025. While congratulating the new appointees, the Vice-Chancellor assured them of Management’s full support and urged them to discharge their responsibilities diligently, in line with the University’s approved rules, regulations, and guiding principles.
