Edo NMA Honours Prof. Darlington Ewaen Obaseki, CMD of UBTH

The Edo State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has honoured the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Professor Darlington Ewaen Obaseki.

In a heartfelt display of appreciation, the Edo State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) recently visited Prof. Darlington Ewaen Obaseki, the Chief Medical Director (CMD), and the distinguished management team of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).

Led by the dynamic Chairman, Dr. Udoka Imoisili, the Edo NMA State Officers Committee (SOC) and affiliate leaders gathered to honor Prof. Obaseki's exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions to healthcare in Edo State.

During the visit, Dr. Imoisili, on behalf of the Edo NMA SOC, commended Prof. Obaseki for his remarkable managerial acumen and innovative strides that have propelled UBTH to new heights.

Referring to him as the "Wake & See CMD," Dr. Imoisili lauded Prof. Obaseki's efforts in fostering industrial harmony within the sanatorium, a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence.

As a token of appreciation, the Edo NMA presented Prof. Obaseki with an artefact of ancient Benin-Kingdom origin, symbolizing excellence and outstanding performance.

Prof. Obaseki graciously accepted the award, expressing his gratitude for the association's recognition and reaffirming his commitment to promoting peace and unity within the medical community.

In his response, Prof. Obaseki emphasized the importance of strategic conflict resolution within the medical profession. He encouraged the Edo NMA to adopt a proactive approach to addressing disagreements.
