Dr. Kwadwo Sarpong has risen from humble beginnings as a janitor to achieve his dream of becoming a neurosurgeon at the prestigious Vanderbilt University Medical Center.Born and raised in Ghana, a country with just 13 neurosurgeons for a population of over 30 million, Dr. Sarpong immigrated to the United States in 2009, facing numerous challenges as a new immigrant. Despite working as a janitor while attending community college and learning English, his unwavering determination and passion for neuroscience drove him to excel academically.
