The Department of Geography at Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has organized a 2-day in-house training workshop on "Applications of Geographic Information System (GIS) in Geographical Research" for its academic staff and technologists.

Dr. Muhammed Kabir Dahiru, Acting Head of the Geography Department, emphasized the importance of GIS in geographical research and encouraged staff to take advantage of such training opportunities.
