FULAFIA Receives Full Accreditation for 14 Programmes, Gains Interim Status for 2 More

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has received full accreditation for 14 of its academic programmes. This milestone, announced through a letter from Abraham Chundusu, the Acting Director of Accreditation at the National Universities Commission (NUC), marks a significant advancement in the university's academic standing.

The letter, addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, also revealed that two additional courses, Anatomy and Computer Science, have received interim accreditation status. These courses are housed within the Faculty of Basic Medical Science and the Faculty of Computer Science, respectively.

The accreditation exercise, conducted by the NUC in October and November 2023, assessed various programmes offered at the university. The programmes that have now gained full accreditation include:

- Agriculture

- Fishery and Aquaculture

- Forestry and Wildlife Management

- Medical Laboratory Science
