FULOKOJA Students Selected for Prestigious U.S. Leadership Training on Natural Resources

Two outstanding students from Federal University Lokoja (FUL) have been selected to participate in the 2025 Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Global Student Leaders on Natural Resources. Esenyi Daniel Sokoyebomi, a 300-level Zoology student, and Abdulsalam Abdullahi Ahmed from the Department of Biology, were chosen for this highly competitive U.S. State Department exchange program.

The five-week leadership initiative will take place at the University of Nevada, Reno, from June 24 to July 26, 2025. The program aims to broaden participants' understanding of U.S. society, institutions, and values while strengthening their leadership skills in environmental sustainability.

FUL Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, hailed the U.S. Embassy's commitment to educational exchange and diplomacy, describing the students' selection as a testament to the university's dedication to global engagement, academic excellence, and leadership development.
