Igbiniedion University Okada (IUO) has released the updated school fees structure for its School of Postgraduate Studies, effective from the 2025/2026 academic session.

The announcement, provides a detailed breakdown of costs for PhD, Masters, Postgraduate Diploma, and other charges across various disciplines, offering clarity for prospective and returning students.

The fees are categorized into four groups as follows:

Category I (Law)

  - PhD: 500,000 NGN

  - Masters: 420,000 NGN

  - Postgraduate Diploma: 200,000 NGN

  - Other Charges: 100,000 NGN

Category II (Microbiology, Computer Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science)

  - PhD: 500,000 NGN

  - Masters: 420,000 NGN

  - Postgraduate Diploma: 200,000 NGN

  - Other Charges: 100,000 NGN

 

Category III (Political Science, Public Administration, Mass Communication, Economics, International Relations, Theatre Arts, Geography, Sociology)

  - PhD: 350,000 NGN

  - Masters: 275,000 NGN

  - Postgraduate Diploma: 150,000 NGN

Category IV (Accounting, Business Management, Banking & Finance)

  - PhD: 350,000 NGN

  - Masters: 275,000 NGN

  - Postgraduate Diploma: 150,000 NGN

  - Other Charges: 100,000 NGN

Additional notes indicate that postgraduate dues are set at 25,000 NGN per session for PhD students, 15,000 NGN per session for Masters students, and 10,000 NGN per session for Postgraduate Diploma students. Other charges for all students amount to 100,000 NGN. All postgraduate students must ensure their portal pages are activated on https://iuokada.waeup.org by the ICT Unit, with fees and other charges payable online via the student’s portal page (https://iuokada.waeup.org/students). Payments are to be made into OKADA Microfinance Bank (Postgraduate Dues A/C 1102030125).

NOTE:

All fees can be paid Online through the university portal (url: hpps://iuokada.waeup.org) or through e- tranzact platform at Access Bank, Zenith Bank, or First bank

Fees paid are not refundable or transferable

Forging of e-tranzact slip attracts a fine of N50,000

Access Bank Hostel is for female students who are in 200 Level and above

Direct Entry (DE) Students are to continue paying the same fee as and when admitted

FEE PAYMENT PROCEDURE

The university has provided two payment options:

Option1:

  • Pay online through your portal page using your ATM Card
  • Login to the portal (url: https://iuokada.waeup.org/)
  • Select “Payments” from “My Data” menu
  • Click on the “Add current session payment” button to make a payment for the current session or Click on “Custom/Balance Payment” button to pay for tuition
  • Select the item you want to pay for from the “Payment Category”
  • Click on create payment
  • You see your payments page with the item you just
  • Click on the “payment_id” of the payment item you just
  • There are two ways to pay from the next You can either pay with:
  • Interswitch: Click on the “Pay via Interswitch CollegePay” button to pay with your ATM card
  • Etranzact: Click on the “Pay via Etranzact WebConnect” button to pay with your ATM card

Option2:

  • Pay directly at the bank
  • Login to the portal (url: https://iuokada.waeup.org/)
  • Select “Payments” from “My Data” menu
  • Click on the “Add current session payment” button to make a payment for the current session or Click on “Custom/Balance Payment” button to pay for tuition
  • Select the item you want to pay for from the “Payment Category”
  • Click on create payment
  • You see your payments page with the item you just
  • Note the “Payment Id” for the item you want to pay
  • Take that (the “Payment Id”) to the bank to make Payment
  • Please note you can pay fees in installments up to three payments.
