NANS Zone C condemns the killing of Terhile Timothy Achinya by soldiers, demanding immediate justice and accountability for the inhumane treatment of Isah Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic students.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone C has issued a strong condemnation of the recent brutal treatment of students from Isah Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, by unprofessional soldiers, which tragically resulted in the death of Terhile Timothy Achinya, a student of the institution.

In a statement signed by Comrade Daniel Friday Egga, the Coordinator of NANS Zone C, the association expressed outrage over the inhumane conduct of soldiers attached to the 123 Special Forces Battalion, calling for immediate action from military authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice. NANS urged the Nigerian Police Force and Lafia Police Command to expedite their investigations and ensure that all those involved, directly or indirectly, are held accountable for their actions.

The statement emphasized the association's solidarity with the bereaved family and students of the institution, assuring them that NANS will continue to press for justice. The demands outlined by NANS Zone C include:

1. Immediate arrest and prosecution of the soldiers involved.

The association further acknowledged the prompt actions taken by the school's management and Student Union Government (SUG) but called on the Ministry of Education and well-meaning Nigerians to join the fight for justice.
