Jigawa State Partners with Saudi Arabian Foundation to Enhance Qur'anic Education

The Jigawa State Government has collaborated with the Alfurqan Qur'anic Foundation, a Saudi Arabian-based Islamic organization, to improve the Tsangaya Qur'anic education system.

A delegation from the Foundation, led by Chairman Sheikh Abdalla Ibn Nasir Al-Utaibiy, met with Governor Mallam Umar Namadi at the Government House in Dutse to establish a collaborative relationship.

The partnership aims to modernize teaching methods, employing techniques to facilitate quick comprehension and memorization, particularly for the deaf and young children.

Governor Namadi expressed gratitude for the visit and emphasized the significance of Qur'anic education in Jigawa State, where 99% of the population is Muslim.

The government has committed to prioritizing Qur'anic education, integrating Islamic and Western education, and providing training in crafts and skills.

Notable achievements include the establishment of three mega-Tsangaya schools, appointment of three advisers on Tsangaya education, and the creation of the Tsangaya Board to regulate and upgrade traditional Qur'anic education methods.
