The Management of Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the immediate implementation of virtual lectures for all courses with student enrolment exceeding four hundred (400).
The directive aims to address the challenge of limited physical lecture room capacities while advancing the University’s ongoing digitalisation drive for more efficient teaching and learning delivery.
According to a statement from the University Management, lecturers handling such large-capacity courses are required to make adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of their lectures, tutorials, and assessments using LASU’s approved virtual learning platforms. Affected students are also expected to comply fully by participating actively and adhering to the guidelines governing online engagements.

Deans of Faculties and Schools have been directed to enforce this policy strictly and ensure proper coordination and supervision to guarantee its effective implementation.
The Management appreciated the cooperation and understanding of staff and students, reiterating the institution’s commitment to adopting innovative strategies that promote academic excellence, inclusiveness, and global competitiveness in line with LASU’s vision of becoming a leading university in West Africa.
