MOUAU Launches Free Agricbusiness Training for Youths to Enhance Food Security

Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) is set to empower youths with essential skills in agricbusiness through a groundbreaking initiative slated to commence next month. Approved by the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof Maduebibisi Iwe, the university will offer free training sessions facilitated by its Agricbusiness Incubation Centre.

The Director of the Centre, Dr. Philips Nto, announced this milestone in a recent statement issued in Umuahia, emphasizing its alignment with the university's commitment to fostering food security and sustainable agriculture practices. The inception of this initiative coincides with the commemoration of the third anniversary of the Vice Chancellor, adding a celebratory dimension to its launch.

Participants will also gain expertise in the production of assorted beverages, juices, local beers, dried fruits, and jams, empowering them with a versatile skill set essential for success in the agricbusiness sector.
