NCC Presents Certificates To Staff And Students Of Taraba State University
The Vice-Chancellor who was represented by Prof. Isa Mohammed Adamu DVC Academic, in his address said that more than 100 Academic and Non-Academic Staff working in the university had been trained in a more digital skills to would ease their jobs and bring a robust productivity on the job delivery. He praised the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) for launching the ADAPTI programme and opting to provide the teaching and non-teaching staff with digital skills needed in the University environment at this period of emerging Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
On behalf of the Digital Bridge Institution, the President/CEO of Digital Bridge Institute, Prof. Mohammed Ajiya and the Management of Taraba State University in partnership with Digital Bridge Institution (DBI), a Digital training arm of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), present Certificates of Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions, Data Analysis using SPSS and Ms Power BI to all participants in the university.
The workshop which was primarily designed to improve the participants’ knowledge of two digital courses namely; Data Analysis using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) as well as Internet and Office Productivity Tools (IOPT), also aims to provide the University's teaching and non-teaching staff with 21st-century skills required to drive the Education for Impact goals and comprehensive, mandatory work-readiness programmes.
This exercise aligns with the pillars and standards of Honoris United Universities Network, the first, and largest Pan-African private higher education network at the moment.
