Taraba State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Augustina Godwin, has ordered the immediate suspension of seven principals for allegedly undermining the state's free education policy. The Commissioner emphasized that the policy is crucial and must be strictly adhered to.
Dr. Godwin stated, "The free education policy is not a child’s play," highlighting the seriousness of the issue.The suspended principals are from the following schools:
- Government Day Secondary School Kofai and Salihu Dogo in Jalingo Local Government Area
- Government Day Secondary School Kununi in Lau Local Government Area
- Government Day Secondary School Jauro Yinu in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area
- Government Day Secondary School Kakulu in Zing Local Government Area
- Government Secondary School Takum
- Government Day Secondary School Yakassai in Wukari Local Government Area
