Thomas Adewumi University has taken a bold step towards equipping its graduating students with cutting-edge skills by launching its highly anticipated AI General Assembly programme. The six-week intensive Data Science and AI Bootcamp, which commenced on May 1st, 2024, aims to revolutionize the skill set of participants across various disciplines.

The event kicked off with an invigorating orientation session led by Dr. Farohunbi Samuel, the Programme Coordinator, at the university's Virtual Lab. Graduating students and esteemed instructors attended the session virtually, where Dr. Farohunbi outlined the blueprint of the training, promising an immersive learning experience.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, graced the occasion and emphasized the significance of the training programme as a pivotal stepping stone towards graduation. She urged students to seize the opportunity for personal and professional growth, applauding the dedication of the instructors in shaping the future minds of the institution.
Mr. Ezekiel Ogundepo, the esteemed Team Lead of the instructors, introduced himself and his distinguished colleagues, promising to delve deep into the realms of Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI applications over the next six weeks.
The agenda for the day was rich and varied, with sessions designed to unlock the potential within every participant. Adeola Lawal, a Data Migration specialist at Atlassian, enlightened participants on crafting compelling portfolios and selecting the right tools as data analysts. Dr. Rose Ogundokun, a luminary in Computer Science, shed light on the indispensable role of Data Science tools in research dissertations and publications, while Mr. David Akanji, a Data Analyst, demystified LinkedIn optimization.
The presentations paved the way for an engaging question-and-answer session, allowing students to glean further insights from the experts.
