With a vision to nurture a new generation of business owners and job creators, UNILAG is empowering students to excel in both academia and entrepreneurship.

During the opening session of the 2023/2024 EIBIC Orientation Seminar held at the J.F. Ade Ajayi (Main) Auditorium, UNILAG's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, emphasized the programme's aim to equip students with real-world business concepts. Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development Services, Professor Ayodele Atsenuwa, Prof. Ogunsola assured students of diverse opportunities to excel in business and entrepreneurship.
The EIBIC Programme is designed to expose students to various projects, programmes, and internship opportunities. It fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging team formation across different disciplines and providing platforms for innovation and business co-creation. Students will also have access to industry experts for mentorship and guidance.
Addressing the students, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics and Research, Professor Bola Oboh, highlighted EIBIC's potential in combating unemployment and underemployment. She emphasized UNILAG's international partnerships aimed at broadening students' prospects and urged them to leverage the programme for global business success.
Director of the Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre (ESDC) at UNILAG, Professor Sunday Adebisi, elaborated on the programme's goal to unlock students' potential and provide real-time mentorship from industry players. He emphasized the importance of harnessing talents, hobbies, and interests to drive entrepreneurial success.
The EIBIC Orientation Seminar, mandatory for all 100-level students, will continue until April 25, 2024. The schedule includes sessions tailored for different faculties, ensuring comprehensive coverage across UNILAG's academic spectrum.
UNILAG's EIBIC Programme stands as a beacon of innovation and entrepreneurship, paving the way for students to become future business leaders and innovators.
