UNILAG Chemistry Department to Hold Book Presentation
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) will hold a book presentation on July 29, 2024, at 12 noon in the Faculty of Science Board Room. The event will showcase three books on chemical safety and security authored by faculty members, including Prof. Kehinde Olayinka and Dr. Tolulope Fasina.

The books, which focus on chemical safety and security in the laboratory, include:
- Chemical Safety & Security in the Laboratory – A Comprehensive Guide, Instructor’s Manual
- Chemical Safety & Security in the Laboratory – Workbook for Students
- Chemical Safety & Security in the Laboratory – PowerPoint Slides for Instructors

These publications are the collaborative efforts of Prof. Kehinde Olayinka, Prof. Tolulope Fasina, Dr. Aderonke Oyeyiola, Dr. Temilola Oluseyi, Dr. Oluwatoyin Fatunsin, and Mr. Trust Ekama. The initiative was funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) through the University of Lagos Research Management Office.
The event is an opportunity for members of the university community to gain insights into the latest developments in chemical safety education. The books aim to enhance the safety protocols and security measures in chemical laboratories, providing comprehensive resources for both instructors and students.
