UNIMAID Receives NUC Team for Resource Assessment Exercise
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) played host to a team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Monday, July 22, 2024, as part of a Resource Assessment Exercise for newly established programs in the Faculties of Science and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, alongside other Principal Officers of the University, received the NUC team in audience. The exercise aimed to assess the university's resources and readiness to run the newly established programs, including BSc Biology, BSc Pharmacology, BSc Toxicology, and BSc Forensic Science.
The NUC team's visit is a crucial step towards the official accreditation of these programs, which are designed to enhance the university's academic offerings and provide students with a wider range of study options.
The assessment exercise is expected to evaluate the university's facilities, equipment, and personnel, as well as its ability to deliver high-quality education in these fields.
