The University of Nigeria has released crucial instructions for candidates recommended for provisional admission for the 2023/2024 academic session. Candidates are urged to adhere to these guidelines to secure their admission successfully.

1. Upload O/Level Results to JAMB Portal:

Candidates are required to promptly upload their O/Level results onto the JAMB Portal using an approved CBT Center. It is emphasized that admission processing cannot commence until this step is completed. It is imperative to ensure the accuracy of the uploaded results in the CAPS.

2. Change of Course on JAMB CAPS: For candidates recommended for a course different from their initial application (via Advert/Shopping or Supplementary):

   - Access JAMB CAPS at an accredited CBT Center.

   - Make the necessary course change to the recommended one.

   - Print and submit the updated admission status to the Admissions Office. This step is essential for the recognition of the recommendation in CAPS, the official admission confirmation platform.

3. Accept Admission on JAMB CAPS: Upon completing the above steps, candidates should visit the JAMB Portal to:

   - Accept the admission offer by clicking on "Accept Admission."

   - Failure to accept the admission will result in not receiving a JAMB Admission Letter, and the candidate will be considered not admitted.

4. Payment of Acceptance Fee: Candidates should follow these steps:

   - Visit the University of Nigeria website or portal.

   - Log in with their JAMB Registration number to generate a Payment Invoice containing a Remitta number.

   - Pay the acceptance fee of Thirty Thousand Naira Only (₦30,000.00) at any Commercial Bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank, using the Invoice number.

   - Obtain a confirmation slip containing the Confirmation number and Invoice number.

5. Complete Admission Process: After payment, candidates should:

   - Revisit the university website or portal.

   - Log in with their JAMB Registration Number, Confirmation Number, and Invoice Number.

If at any point, including the final year, it is discovered that a candidate does not meet the minimum university and faculty/departmental entry requirements as specified by the Senate of the University and published in the JAMB Brochure, the admission offer will be withdrawn.
