A two-man delegation from the World Bank recently visited the Lagos State University Africa Centre of Excellence for Innovative and Transformative STEM Education (LASU-ACEITSE) to inspect its newly constructed Science Laboratory Complex. Led by Social Safeguard Specialist Mr. Elijah Sakpere and Environmental Specialist Prof. Ahmed Abdullahi, the delegation commended the Centre's adherence to environmental specifications and guidelines during construction.
Dr. Hakeem Akintoye, Deputy Centre Leader, warmly welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the Centre's preparedness and cooperation. Mr. Sakpere assured the Centre of the World Bank's support, emphasizing Lagos State's reputation for excellence. Prof. Abdullahi reiterated that the visit aimed to provide professional guidance rather than audit the Centre.
During the three-hour interaction, LASU-ACEITSE's Research Coordinator, Prof. Micheal Ahove, ensured that all necessary documents and evidence were available for scrutiny. The Centre's officers responded effectively to the delegation's questions, observations, and advice.
