The Vice Chancellor of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Professor Christopher Ndubuisi Ogbogbo, has outlined key developments at the institution since assuming office in March 2025.

The Vice Chancellor of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Professor Christopher Ndubuisi Ogbogbo, has outlined key developments at the institution since assuming office in March 2025.

Speaking during a town hall meeting, he presented updates on funding, infrastructural projects, and staff welfare initiatives.

According to the Public Relations Officer, Makut Alfred Mashat, the Vice Chancellor disclosed that ADUN has received over ₦1 billion in infrastructural donations within the past six months. He explained that the funds are being channeled into campus improvements, including the installation of solar streetlights both within the university and in the surrounding communities of Ibusa and Ogwashi-Uku, as well as the construction of new buildings for principal officers.

On staff welfare, Professor Ogbogbo said measures were being put in place to guarantee timely promotions for qualified personnel. He further announced the introduction of rebates for staff members pursuing postgraduate studies and for those with children enrolled at the university.

The Vice Chancellor also pointed to changes in institutional policy, stressing that ADUN’s code of conduct would be brought in line with civil service standards and global best practices following its transition to a federal institution. In addition, he confirmed that recruitment efforts are ongoing to bring in senior lecturers and professors to strengthen academic delivery.

Mashat emphasized that the university community had been briefed on these developments as part of efforts to foster transparency and accountability in the institution’s administration.
