AKSU Set to Host National Postgraduate Workshop as CSPGCS Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit to Acting

A delegation of the Committee of Secretaries of Postgraduate Colleges and Schools in Nigerian Universities (CSPGCS) has paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Professor Otoabasi E. Akpan, on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the University Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, as part of preparations for the forthcoming CSPGCS Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Workshop with the theme: "Enhancing Quality Service Delivery in Postgraduate Administration for Nigerian Universities", to be hosted by the University.
welcoming the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Otoabasi E. Akpan, expressed the Management’s delight at hosting the CSPGCS and assured the delegation of the University’s full support towards the successful hosting of the 3rd Annual General Meeting and 5th Workshop of CSPGCS, scheduled to hold from 3rd to 6th February, 2026, at the University’s Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area. He noted that the event aligns with the University's commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement in postgraduate education and administration.
In her remarks, the Chairman of CSPGCS, Dr. Titilayo Owolabi from Babcock University, who spoke on behalf of the delegation, thanked the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management for the warm reception accorded the team. She commended Akwa Ibom State University for accepting to host the national event and briefed the Vice-Chancellor on the objectives and expected outcomes of the AGM and Workshop.
In a vote of thanks, the Registrar and Secretary to Council and Senate, AKSU, Dr. Ebi G. Eno-Ibanga, FNIM Akwa, appreciated the CSPGCS delegation for the visit and reaffirmed the University’s readiness to ensure a smooth, successful, and impactful AGM and Workshop.
Highlight of the meeting included presentation of souvenirs to the Vice- Chancellor and Principal Officers of AKSU.
