Al-Istiqama University and Gabare College of Health Science and Technology Sign Landmark MoU to Elevate Healthcare Education

In a strategic move to redefine academic collaboration in Northern Nigeria, Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila (AUSU), and Gabare College of Health Science and Technology officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

The partnership marks the beginning of a synergistic relationship focused on joint research, staff and student exchange programmes, and robust capacity-building initiatives aimed at driving excellence across the health sciences.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Istiqama University, Professor Abdullahi Sale Kumurya, commended the management of Gabare College for their proactive approach to the partnership. He emphasized that the collaboration is specifically designed to bridge gaps in healthcare training and research, providing a direct benefit to students, faculty, and the surrounding community.

Professor Kumurya highlighted the meteoric rise of Al-Istiqama University, noting that within just the last six months, the institution has significantly expanded its academic footprint. New milestones include:
