The two-day event marked a significant rite of passage, officially inducting new students into the BMU community under the transformative ASPIRE Agenda.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dimie Ogoina set the tone for the orientation, emphasizing that the programme was more than a formality—it was a foundation for discipline, excellence, and character. He underscored BMU’s zero tolerance for misconduct while assuring students of the University’s unwavering commitment to their welfare and academic success.
The programme featured sessions led by key university officers and resource persons on topics including academic planning, library utilization, learning strategies, digital innovation, student governance, campus safety, financial management, health and wellness, and laboratory practices. Students were encouraged to embrace responsible conduct, active learning, innovation, and meaningful engagement in campus life.
Through the orientation, BMU reinforced its core values of excellence, integrity, and global relevance, ensuring that new students are aligned with the University’s mission from the outset.
