Bayero University Kano Announces Guidelines for 2025 Students' Union Government Election Campaigns

The Bayero University Kano Independent Electoral Commission (BUKIECO) has released a press statement outlining the mandatory procedures for aspirants contesting in the 2025 Students' Union Government (SUG) Election.

Campaign Flag-Off Procedures

To ensure a smooth and conflict-free campaign process, aspirants must adhere to the following guidelines:

- Submission of Notification Letter: Aspirants must submit a hard copy Letter of Notification to either the Secretary General or Assistant Secretary General (ASG) at any location.

- Alternative Submission Process: If an aspirant wishes to submit the letter to any other BUKIECO member, the submission must be made inside the BUKIECO office between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

- Approval Notice Requirement: Aspirants must obtain an Approval Notice from either the Secretary General or the Assistant Secretary General at least 48 hours before the scheduled campaign flag-off.

Penalties for Non-Compliance

Failure to comply with these directives may result in sanctions or disqualification as provided in the electoral guidelines.
