The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) has officially announced the commencement of applications for its 2024 Farmers for the Future (F4F) Grant. Developed in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and implemented by Fate Foundation, this initiative aims to support young agripreneurs with innovative agricultural business ideas. The program offers an equity-free grant totaling ₦10 million, alongside resources to help scale the businesses of the selected finalists.

Benefits:

The F4F Grant seeks to empower youth involved in sustainable agriculture by providing substantial financial support. The top six finalists will share ₦10 million in grants, with the first prize winner receiving ₦3 million, the second prize ₦2 million, and the third prize ₦1 million. Additional funds will be allocated to other finalists. In addition to the financial grant, winners will gain access to financial institutions, investors, and credit facilities, enhancing their ability to grow their businesses.

Eligibility:

This grant is specifically for current NYSC members with promising agribusiness ventures. Applicants must demonstrate a solid commitment to sustainable agriculture and present a clear, actionable business plan that showcases their growth strategy. The grant is intended for businesses that have the potential to make a significant impact on Nigeria’s agricultural sector, fostering innovation and economic development.

Application Process:

The application process includes several stages, starting with the submission of applications via the online portal. Twenty selected applicants will participate in a virtual boot camp to refine their business ideas and prepare their pitches. The top 10 businesses will then move on to a final pitch event, where they will present their ideas to a panel of experts. Three winners will be chosen and awarded financial grants, along with continued mentorship.
