The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is forging a promising partnership with Covenant University to elevate the quality of Accountancy education. A delegation from ICAN, led by Professor Ishola Rufus Akintoye, recently visited Covenant University to discuss a Mutual Cooperation Agreement with Tertiary Institutions (MCATI).

Covenant University's Vice-Chancellor welcomed the initiative, highlighting the institution's commitment to preparing graduates for the industry. He pointed to the Town and Gown program as a vital component of their educational approach, facilitating interactions between students and industry experts to provide practical insights. Faculty members at Covenant, many of whom are industry professionals, contribute significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. 

The collaboration aims to enhance the practical relevance of Covenant University's Accounting curriculum. ICAN's team assessed the university's Department of Accounting for the accreditation of ICAN's professional examination, praising the institution's exceptional standards in Accounting education.
