LASUED Hospitality and Tourism Students Excel in Two-Week Practical Examinations
The Hospitality and Tourism Department of the Centre for Diploma Programmes, Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) has successfully concluded its two-week practical examinations, held on Saturday, 31 January, and Saturday, 7 February 2026, at Oloto Hall, Main Campus, Oto/Ijanikin.

The practical assessments form part of LASUED’s commitment to experiential learning, designed to complement classroom instruction with hands-on exposure in line with global standards in hospitality and tourism education.
Students demonstrated high levels of skill, creativity, and professionalism, translating theoretical knowledge into practical applications. The examinations provided a platform for assessing competencies in culinary preparation, presentation, hygiene, teamwork, and time management, reflecting the department’s focus on industry-relevant learning.
In his address, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor M. A. Daodu, represented by Professor Johnson Mafikuyomi, commended the students’ performance and encouraged them to sustain their commitment to excellence. Professor Mafikuyomi conveyed the confidence of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okunneye, in the students’ abilities, reaffirming LASUED Management’s dedication to enhancing the learning environment and supporting skills development.
