Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has released the academic calendar for the 2023/2024 Rain Semester. Approved by the Vice Chancellor, Professor R. O. Rom Kalilu, on behalf of the Senate, the calendar was presented by the Committee of Provosts and Deans.

The semester will commence on Monday, July 1, 2024, with resumption and the start of lectures for all students. Registration without penalty will also begin on this date. Important dates for the semester are as follows:

July 2024:

  • Monday, July 1: Resumption for the 2023/2024 Rain Semester for all students, start of lectures, and registration without penalty begins.
  • Sunday, July 14: End of registration without penalty.
  • Monday, July 15: Start of registration with penalty.
  • Sunday, July 28: End of registration with penalty and closure of the registration portal for the semester.
  • Monday, July 29: Beginning of Mid-Semester Continuous Assessment (CA) Test by CBT.

August 2024:

  • Friday, August 2: End of Mid-Semester Continuous Assessment (CA) Test by CBT.
  • Saturday, August 24: End of lectures for the Rain Semester.
  • Monday, August 26: Start of lecture-free week and continuation of tutorials.
  • Saturday, August 31: End of lecture-free week and tutorials.

September 2024:

  • Monday, September 2: Start of the Rain Semester examinations.
  • Saturday, September 28: End of the Rain Semester examinations and the 2023/2024 academic session, followed by the end-of-session break for students.
