Lead City University Awards N322 Million in Scholarships to 905 Students
Prof Kabiru Aderemi Adeyemo, the Vice Chancellor of Lead City University, disclosed this information during a media parley on the post-16 convocation of the institution. Prof Adeyemo highlighted that the scholarships aimed to support deserving students facing economic challenges and were granted based on academic merit, financial need, and specific criteria set by the university.
Lead City University, Ibadan, has showcased its dedication to fostering education accessibility by awarding N322,606,250.00 in scholarships to 840 students during the 2022/2023 academic session. The scholarships covered tuition fees, with an additional 65 students benefiting from complimentary accommodation as part of the university's comprehensive scholarship programs.

In an extension of Prof Adeyemo's tenure by another five years, starting January 1, 2023, he emphasized the university's commitment to collaboration and academic excellence. Lead City University is currently hosting a Fullbright scholar, Dr. Atim Eneida George, fostering collaborative projects that contribute to academic growth and global engagement.
Prof Adeyemo stated, "Lead City University has established various scholarship programmes aimed at financially assisting deserving students who face economic challenges. By offering these scholarships, we enable students who would otherwise be unable to pursue higher education to access our educational opportunities."
