During the flag-off of the campaign against out-of-school children in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, Minister of State for Education, Dr. Tanko Yusuf Sununu, underscored the pressing need to tackle the out-of-school children phenomenon in Nigeria, labeling it as a potential time bomb.

Acknowledging President Muhammadu Buhari's dedication to education as evident in his eight-point agenda, Dr. Sununu expressed optimism about the government's commitment to resolving the out-of-school children challenge.

Furthermore, Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State reiterated the state government's efforts to enhance educational infrastructure, highlighting significant investments in school construction and renovation, as well as the establishment of post-basic literacy centers under the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) initiative.
