NSUK Management Approves One-Week Registration Extension to Accommodate NELFUND Beneficiaries
The Management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has announced a one-week extension for the 2025/2026 student registration exercise. The decision was reached during an emergency meeting of the Core Management on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
The extension officially takes effect today, Friday, February 6, 2026, providing a vital window for students who have yet to finalize their academic documentation and fee payments.
A primary driver for this extension is the university's commitment to supporting students utilizing the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). Management noted that the additional time is specifically designed to allow these beneficiaries to complete their loan processing and successfully access the NSUK Registration Portal.
By aligning the registration deadline with the NELFUND disbursement timeline, the university aims to ensure that no student is disadvantaged due to financial administrative delays.
The Acting Information and Protocol Officer, Jaafar Abdullahi Abubakar, anipr, stated that the Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been officially mandated to keep the portal open for the duration of the extension.
Students are strongly advised to:
Act Promptly: Utilize this final grace period to avoid late registration penalties or forfeiture of admission.
Verify Payments: Ensure all financial transactions are reflected on their student dashboards before the new closing date.
This move follows NSUK's broader strategy of enhancing student welfare and ensuring inclusive access to higher education within the North-Central region.
