The University, established by law and recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on 5th April 2005 as the 24th State University in Nigeria, is located on its permanent site in Butura and Tarangol Axis of Bokkos Local Government Area. Qualifications and Experience

Professor

  • Ph.D. or fellowship (for College of Medicine) in the relevant field with at least 12 years of teaching and research experience.
  • Proven research, supervisory, and administrative skills, with publications in reputable national and international journals.
  • Knowledge of university system operations; should hold the rank of Reader/Associate Professor.

Associate Professor

  • Ph.D. or fellowship (for College of Medicine) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Independent research capability, supervisory and administrative skills, and scholarly publications.
  • Should hold the rank of Senior Lecturer.

Senior Lecturer

  • Ph.D. or fellowship (for College of Medicine) with at least 7 years of cognate experience.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and publish in reputable journals.

  • Master’s Degree, MBBS, B.Pharm, or Pharm D. with at least 5 years of cognate experience.
  • Ability to carry out research; membership in a professional body is an advantage.

Lecturer II

  • Master’s Degree with at least 3 years teaching/research experience.
  • Professional body membership is an added advantage.

Assistant Lecturer

  • Master’s Degree with at least 1 year teaching/research experience.
  • Membership of a professional body where applicable.

Confidential Secretary I

  • Minimum of 4 O’level credits including English Language and a first Degree or HND in Secretarial Studies.
  • Evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption.
