Prof. Kamilu Raufu Declares UNILORIN CBT Exams a Major Success
The University of Ilorin's recent Computer-Based Tests (CBT) were a seamless success, thanks to proactive measures and excellent cooperation from students and staff.
The Computer-Based Tests (CBT) at the University of Ilorin have been declared a major success, according to Prof. Kamilu Raufu, Director of the CBT Centre. The examinations, initially set from July 8 to July 26, were extended to July 30 to accommodate students who missed the original dates.
Prof. Raufu commended the cooperation of students and praised the lecturers for their support throughout the process. He also highlighted the exceptional performance of the CBT staff, who managed the exams efficiently without the need for intensive supervision.

The Director noted that the Centre's facilities were well-equipped, with robust backup systems to safeguard against potential hacking. He reported full attendance at the makeup exams, attributing this success to proactive measures such as detailed notifications to Heads of Departments and Deans, along with personal phone calls to students.
Prof. Raufu emphasized the University's commitment to supporting the CBT Unit and urged both lecturers and students to continue fostering cooperation and maintaining a peaceful environment at the CBT centres. He observed an improvement in student results, reflecting their increasing familiarity with the CBT system.
