Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) is set to enhance its academic standards under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Fatimah Tahir. During a recent workshop on grant-winning proposals, Professor Tahir announced that the university will no longer compromise on academic excellence.
The workshop, organized by the Centre of Excellence for Research and Innovation in partnership with SAZU, focused on improving faculty skills in writing effective research proposals. Professor Tahir stated that the university aims to be recognized for its excellence rather than ease, emphasizing a commitment to producing impactful and innovative research.
“Our goal is to attract top talent and elevate the university’s reputation through groundbreaking research that addresses real-world issues,” Tahir said. She outlined plans for significant investments in research infrastructure and capacity building, which will enable faculty and students to undertake high-quality research.
Professor Tahir also highlighted that the university will offer rigorous and challenging courses to prepare students for success in their fields.
