TETFund Initiative Elevates Educational Institutions in Sokoto State
In a significant move to boost educational standards and facilities, the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has rolled out initiatives impacting several institutions in Sokoto State.

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has rolled out initiatives impacting several institutions in Sokoto State. These include Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, the College of Nursing Sciences, Tambuwal, the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Wurno, and the State College of Basic and Remedial Studies, Sokoto.
Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) is set to benefit from TETFund’s intervention, which aims to enhance its infrastructure, research capabilities, and academic programs. This initiative aligns with the Federal Ministry of Education's broader goals to improve higher education quality across Nigeria.

The College of Nursing Sciences in Tambuwal is also among the beneficiaries. The TETFund initiative will provide critical support in terms of upgraded facilities and advanced training programs, ensuring that nursing students receive top-tier education and practical experience.
Similarly, the College of Agriculture and Animal Science in Wurno will see improvements in its academic and research facilities. This is expected to bolster the college’s capacity to produce highly skilled professionals in agriculture and animal science, sectors that are vital to Nigeria's economy and food security.
The State College of Basic and Remedial Studies in Sokoto is included in TETFund’s plan, with anticipated upgrades to its educational resources and infrastructure. This will significantly benefit students who rely on the college for foundational education and preparation for further studies.
These efforts by TETFund, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education, are geared towards elevating the educational standards and research outputs of these institutions.
