The 2024 Batch B Stream 2 corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Bayelsa State, participated today in the highly anticipated Mind the Gap inter-platoon lectures and debate competition. The event, designed to educate and engage corps members on contemporary issues, focused on the topic: "Digital Literacy in the 21st Century: An Essential Ingredient for Inclusive Governance and Effective Leadership."

Mr. Chinedu Ogbonna, the representative of Mind the Gap, delivered a lecture on the Digital Economy, setting the stage for the debate. Representatives from each platoon made compelling presentations, showcasing their knowledge and understanding of the topic. The event proved to be a lively and informative experience for all participants.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of winners and the presentation of prizes to the top-performing platoons. In her closing remarks, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Okpalifo Obiageli Charity, congratulated the winners and emphasized the importance of mentoring and empowering youths, particularly those from neglected communities, as a catalyst for national development. She commended the excellent performance of the winners and encouraged all platoons for their participation.
