BUK Registry ICT Computer Centre Commissioned to Enhance Digital Capacity

The Registry ICT Computer Centre at Bayero University Kano (BUK) has been commissioned to serve as a capacity-building training hub for non-teaching staff.

The centre will provide training in software, cybersecurity, database management, and other digital skills.

The Registrar, Malam Haruna Aliyu, disclosed that the training would be ongoing until all staff are proficient in using important computer applications. He emphasized that the centre would equip non-teaching staff with modern ICT skills, registry operations, and administrative functions in line with university and global best practices.

The Registrar thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, for his unwavering support, including approving the installation of solar power to ensure continuous operations. The centre is expected to enhance the digital capacity of non-teaching staff and improve overall university operations.
