Delta State Converts Technical College into University Campus for Management Sciences

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has announced the conversion of the Orerokpe Technical College in Okpe Local Government Area to a campus for the Faculty of Management Sciences of the State University of Science and Technology Ozoro. This move aims to expand access to higher education and address the increasing demand for university spaces in the state.

In a bid to enhance access to higher education and accommodate the growing number of students seeking admission, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has unveiled plans to convert the Orerokpe Technical College in Okpe Local Government Area into a campus for the Faculty of Management Sciences of the State University of Science and Technology Ozoro. This decision comes as part of the state government's efforts to bolster the educational infrastructure and create more opportunities for students across the state.

During an inspection of facilities at the Orerokpe Technical College, Governor Oborevwori highlighted the significance of the project in meeting the educational needs of Delta State residents. He revealed that the Ministry of Technical Education would hand over the facilities at the college to the Ministry of Higher Education to facilitate the seamless take-off of the Faculty of Management Sciences.

The conversion of the Orerokpe Technical College into a varsity campus reflects the state government's proactive approach to addressing the challenges of urban congestion and limited university spaces.
